In the case of certain programs, lowest accepted GPA is not lower than 3.8.
  

• Apply for the accredited programs. With the 2 year applied science course with the concentration in the field of diagnostic medical sonography, the students will not have the registry that is eligible for graduation. Applying for the accredited program will help the individual in attending the board examination upon the graduation. 
• Complete the clinical and didactic training. The diagnostic medical sonography course include the classroom works like specific ultrasound course, physiology, anatomy and patient care. The technicians are placed in the hospitals with the registered sonographer. This will help in developing the hands on experience along with the scanning and patient care. 
  

• The technician must attend the registry examination. Most of the technicians do not prefer writing the accredited examinations to get registered but the registered technician generally gets a large number of opportunities. Registered sonographers are given high payment in most of the hospitals.
